Acne / Pimples :

* It is one of the most common dermatology problems.

* 90% of the individuals, male & female, between puberty and age 30 years, experiences some degree of acne.

* If left untreated, leads to scarring & dyspigmentation.

* We have never been better placed to treat acne as we are today, provided its by qualified   Doctor/Dermatologist with formal training

  in Dermatology.

* If treated by Non Dermatologist/ Beautician/ Home remedies/ Ayurvedic treatment/ Homoepathic treatment, then chances of landing

up with permanent scarring are as high as 90%.

* Stick to the treatment regimen as prescribed by the Dermatologist , non compliance to the prescription is not advisable. Some of

the patients take the treatment prescription as some kind of life time utility, using it as per there  convenience, leading to severe drug

resistance & treatment related side effects.

* Our challenge is to meet the rising expectation of the youth of India, who make up the bulk of acne population, many of whom

are netizens and therefore well aware.

Exacerbating factors of acne may not be the causative factors.

* Causes can be many : Hormonal  changes, P acnes bacteria, increase oil activity.

How it happens can be explained to the person by getting the brief disease related history, but why it has happened has no answers.

* Facial is not the treatment for acne, rather it complicates the problem.

* Most of the modern allopathic line of treatment given by dermatologist controls acne, but acne scars and post acne pigmentation

remains the biggest challenge in Indian scenario because after lots of wrong treatment, insufficient treatment, no treatment,

manipulation of the treatment by the patients leads to such complication which requires use of expensive Laser or Nano Pore

Cleaning / peeling solution to improve.

* Pore Cleaning / Peelings decreases the post acne pigmentation & scars, it also helps in controlling acne and at same time decreases

   the dependency on medicines.

* Pregnant females or females of fertile group must always disclose her pregnancy status to the Dermatologist.

* Acne if present alongwith unwanted hairs or disturbed Menstrual cycles should not neglected as it could be associated with

the complicated hormonal problem which not only warrants Gynaecological or at times Endocrinological opinion.

* Milia are epidermal retention cyst which requires extirpation/ removal , most commonly confused with acne/ pimples.

Types of peels/ lasers
